What is a spy app?


Spy applications are software that can be used to monitor, track, and extract someone’s phone activities. These activities include messages, calls , photos, videos, emails, social media, web browsing history, and the mobile phone’s GPS location. These applications can also be utilized to extract and save phone information in case of an emergency situation, for example, a phone getting stolen, broken, or water damaged etc . With having the capacity to monitor these activities and extract data, it's not surprising many have found spy applications highly valuable.

How to identify if your mobile has Spy App:


As said before spy application will be disguised to resemble some other symbol like a "Settings" or default Android System symbol. Indeed, even the name would be something like "Settings", "Tools" , "wi-fi" which you won't bother to open.


  • To know whether a spy application is installed first check your Device Administrator list to check whether there are any applications which you have not downloaded yourself. If you find any applications, regardless of the name, regardless of the symbol of the application, simply disable the privilege and uninstall it from application list as valid system applications won't be listed in there. then go to  Device Administrator list can be found under Settings - > Security or Settings - > Application.


Check if your phone is rooted. 


  • Check if you are having too much information use either through Wi-fi/Mobile data and which application is using the most. Go to Settings - > Data - > Usage to see the list.
